TOEFL Program Information
Our TOEFL preparation program is geared towards students who already possess a high level of English proficiency. The goal of this class is to help students understand the format of the TOEFL exam and apply their knowledge to get the best score possible. This course does not teach grammar per se, but for students of an intermediate level or below, there is a pre-TOEFL module that includes vocabulary lessons that have a grammar component.
TOEFL tests your ability to understand and communicate. For students studying in our small group class, participation in class discussions is crucial. The benefit of a group TOEFL class is that you can learn from everyone’s mistakes. Through discussion of the material, you will improve your reasoning skills.
In the event that the student’s English is not adequate to get the score they want on the TOEFL, they will first enter our pre-TOEFL course which focuses on developing the basic skills necessary for all standardized exam success.
TOEFL Lesson Materials
The following set of reference books and computer-based exercises will be studied for the preparation program in the course of 48 hours:

We offer tailor-made programs based on student needs. Some students may only need six hours of lessons whereas others may need 60. At One World, our TOEFL program length is based on the student's English level, which is determined by our level placement test, and also by student progress throughout the course of the program.
Computer-based practice tests are administered at our education center in a lesson with a TOEFL teacher. The results of the progress are to be shared with students and parents.
